DPR&Co has been a contributor to Sir Jackie Stewart’s Race Against Dementia since 2018.

Sir Jackie, a British Formula One driver who competed between 1965 and 1973 winning three World Drivers’ Championships, created Race Against Dementia to support his wife, Lady Helen Stewart, who was diagnosed with dementia in 2014.

Race Against Dementia funds breakthrough and innovative dementia research, borrowing from fast-paced F1 testing techniques to accelerate the pace towards a cure.

Australia’s contribution to Race Against Dementia is led by Craig Joel, whose late father, Jack, was close to Sir Jackie. DPR&Co’s Agency Principal, Phil Huzzard, is a member of the event organising committee. DPR&Co, along with our production partners Sense 6 and Sonic Playground, also creates the content that brings the show to life.

“Our Australian partners are amazing and raise more for Race Against Dementia than any other country,” said Sir Jackie. “They are important contributors to us helping to find a cure to this dreadful disease.”

Race Against Dementia partners with Dementia Australia in enabling the growth of the Dementia Australia Research Fellowship Programme.

This year’s event featured Formula One champion, Damon Hill, and former Red Bull drivers, Mark Weber and David Coulthard along with current Australian F1 contender Oscar Piastri’s mother Nicole.

With 350 guests and lively bidding for stunning charity auction items resulted in the evening raising almost $500,000. Donations to Race Against Dementia can still be made here.

DPR&Co thanks Jo. Konstandinou from Stanley B&D, Ryan Hooper from Paccar Australia, Samantha Finnegan of MadeBox, Herman Verhofstadt of Sabco, Calzak Bowen of Tennis Victoria and our own Richard Ralphsmith GAICD. I thank each of them for helping make it a special night.
